Custom Shop

On request, our shop becomes your Custom Shop. All standard models can be customized with extra features and surface materials to your exact specs. Telescopic 10” and 12” guitar and bass models fitting in carry-on luggage have been developed for the globe-trotting musician. These, too, are made to order only. Do you have a wild idea? The flexibility of a small operator has allowed us to realize quite a few, even if “not invented here.”

TOOB TELESCOPIC

Our unique, telescopic cabinets are now available in several variants. The 10” guitar and bass versions 10T and 10B are just 195 mm (under 8”) deep when collapsed. Weighing 4.0-4.5 kg/9 -10 lb, they lodge comfortably in a cabin bag. The 12” versions 12T, 12FT and 12BT are 30 mm deeper, still a happy traveling companion in a suitcase or sports bag. Extended, the T models measure and sound the same as their standard counterparts. Extending the inner pipe gradually, you will discover that the tone responds in a non-linear way. A speaker cabinet you can tune! Removable UpBeat wire legs for vertical playing included. These entirely hand-crafted gems are made to order only, in open-back and felt ported versions, sharing the same speaker options as our standard models.

TOOB CUSTOM ORDERS

At a weight penalty of a mere 450 g/1 lb, we can dress up our 10”-12” TOOBs in Tolex, genuine Lacquered Tweed or many other options, even your own imagery. Custom painted rims also an option. Visit the Gallery for samples already realized. Custom Metros also available.

Want a 2 X 10” or 2 X 12”? Just place two TOOBs next to one another and daisy-chain them into a loud 4 ohm unit. On request, we can provide a simple shelf uniting the two cabs’ dock plates and providing a platform for even a heavy tube amplifier. 

ACCESSORIES

We have made several stands and tilting devices for both TOOBs and Metros used as personal stage monitors. There’s no standard model currently in production, but we listen to requests.

Need a gigbag? For TOOBs, we can’t beat the Stairville SB-125 from Thomann. Chances are, you will order your amplifier from them anyway. METRO users are happy to tuck theirs into an ordinary backpack and cycle to the gig and back. Padded lunchbags popular in USA provide an ideal carry bag for Metros. Our volumes are such that it makes no sense to order, store, and resend universally available bags across the globe.
