TOOB 10”-12” BASS AND FULL-RANGE

Bass cabinets used to be closed, wasting much of the speaker’s energy. Even against the current crop of tuned-port enclosures, our half-open bass cabinets look like heresy. Why break “iron rules” and conventions again?

 First, ours are loud for the weight, size and wattage, offering up to 70% weight savings. Second, their tone is rich and musical, with ample harmonic content. No need for a separate tweeter. Third, they are modular and versatile, with the option of playing in vertical position.

We are reviewing the TOOB bass cabinet range, in order to strike an even more compelling balance between performance, portability and price. Therefore, the specifics presented below may change during 2025. (Naturally, this applies to our Custom Telescopic models, too. They account for a substantial part of the total of bass cabinets made so far.)

In the big picture, the demand for full-range speakers has increased, thanks to the needs of the modeling amp/IR community. The TOOB 12F cabinet is our answer. As well, the bass guitar has emerged as a solo instrument with an extended tonal spectrum. We envisage an integration between bass and full-range speakers and will keep a keen eye on the process.
